The beginning of February marked a change of weather in Iceland. Suddenly it started snowing and it snowed and snowed and snowed! How the children loved it! They made snowmen and, of course, there was a snow war. In the school yard there is a small mount and only there it is allowed to throw snowballs, so the others have just to do with wrestling.
As this snow covered everything, Digranesskóli had visitors from Portugal and Finland, who had come to discuss the future activities in our project. They all were so happy to see all this snow. Last Friday there was a new turn of weather. Then the wind started blowing and when it was the fastest, it was measured 47 meters per second!!! All this our visitors witnessed and I think that this has been a great adventure for them!

Eins og flestir tóku eftir þá vorum við með gesti frá Finnlandi og Portugal s.l. viku. Þetta voru kennarar vinaskóla okkar og skólastjórinn frá Portugal. Bæði kynntu þeir okkur verk nemenda sinna og voru með sýnikennslu hjá okkur. En aðaltilgangur heimsóknar þeirra var að ræða framvindu verkefnisins Tales of Europe og skipuleggja framhaldið. Skólastjórinn Albertina Sousa heimsótti einnig Hlíðaskóla í Reykjavík og kynnti sér aðlögun heyrnarskertra nemenda í almennum skóla.

Helmikuun alussa sää muuttui Islannissa ja lunta rupesi satamaan taivaan täydeltä. Lumi kasaantui isoiksi kinoksiksi ja siitä syntyi lasten paras maailman! Digraneskoulun pihalla on pieni kukkula ja ainoastaan siellä saa heittää lumipalloja. Niinpä toiset joutuivat tyytymään vain lumipainiin.
