Undanúrslit í logókeppninni

Samkeppnin um merki verkefnisins Sögur frá Evrópu er nú hálfnuð, þ.e.a.s. dómnefndin hefur valið þrjár tillögur sem munu keppa um fyrsta sætið í atkvæðagreiðslunni 5. janúar 2007. Allir nemendur þeirra bekkja sem eru með í verkefninu mega taka þátt í atkvæðagreiðslunni. Í meðferð okkar hafa tillögurnar fengið eftifarandi nöfn: Bolluhausar, Dansandi fánar, Hnötturinn. Verða þau heiti notuð á atkvæðaseðlinum. Sú tillaga sem vinnur verður lögð fram sem tillaga Digranesskóla og keppir í til úrslita.

Við kennararnir í Comeniusteyminu og allt annað starfsfólk skólans óskum ykkur öllum gleðilegra jóla og farsælt komandi ár.

Portugal joining us - A five country project

Good news - but they mean some minor changes

This morning we got a message telling us that Portugal - inspite of the previous negation - had got a grant for joining us in the project Tales of Europe. We are glad to hear this, since Portugal had been in the preparation of the project from the very beginning and one of the most creative partners. Welcome, Maria, and your school Agrupamento de Escolas Patricio Prazeres in Lissabon. We look forward to continuing the good work with you.

Þau gleðitíðindi bárust okkur í morgun að starfsfólki Comeniuskrifstofunnar í Lissabon hafði snúist hugur varðandi Prazeres-skólann (Agrupamento de Escolas Patricio Prazeres), sem hafði verið með okkur í undirbúningi verkefnisins Tales of Europe og sótt um styrk eins og við hér í Digranesskóla. Maria, sem er tengiliður Prazeres-skólans kom m.a. hingað til Íslands í fyrra og sat undirbúningsfundinn með fulltrúum hinna samstarfsskólanna og var vitaskuld leið, þegar skólinn hennar fékk höfnun, einn fimm skólanna sem stóðu að verkefninu.

Nú, þegar í ljós kom að reglunum í Brussel hafði verið breytt og að þessi neitun mundi útloka Prazeres einnig á næsta ári, ef þeir eru ekki með á skólaárinu 2006-07, ákváðu þeir á skrifstofunni að venda kvæði sínu í kross og veittu Prazeres verkefnisstyrkinn, þrátt fyrir allt, - hálfu ári of seint, því að Comeniusárið byrjar 1.ágúst.

Koma Portúgals þýðir auðvitað að verkefnið er ekki lengur á milli fjögurra landa heldur fimm og verðum við að setja fána Portúgals aftur á síður verkefnisins og hann á að koma fram í logóinu.

Með komu Portúgals fær verkefnið meiri breidd en það þýðir einnig að við verðum að kynna Portúgal nemendum okkar og segja frá breytingunum. Þetta mun þó ekki hafa áhrif á logósamkeppnina. Ef tillaga með fánunum fjórum vinnur, þá verðum við bara að biðja hönnuðinn að bæta Portúgalsfánanum við.

Dómnefndin (Sigríður Hulda, Ragnheiður og Þórunn) er nú búin að ljúka störfum og hefur valið þrjár tillögur úr hópi allra tillagna til lokakeppninnar. Þær tillögur verða birtar hér á þessari síðu, væntanlega nú um helgina, svo að nemendur geti skoðað þær. Akvæðagreiðslan verður, eins og fyrr var sagt, 5. janúar 2007.

Tillögur um merkið á netið - Heims um ból

Tales of Europe is a four country Comenius school project starting in September 2006 and continuing til the spring 2009. The participants are: Hakarinteen koulu, Tammisaari, Finland; Digranesskóli, Kópavogur, Iceland; Didattico di Cordenons, Italy, and Deák Diák Altalános Iskola,Budapest, Hungary.The main theme is traditional tales and music in the four countries.

Nýtt frá Digranesskóla, Marjatta skrifar: (Icelandic):

Nú höfum við sent bæði sálminn Heims um ból og gamla þjóðlagið Það á að gefa börnum brauð til samstarfsskólanna okkar og hafa að minnsta kosti finnsku nemendurnir farið að æfa að syngja þessi lög á íslensku.

Keppninni um merki verkefnisins er nú að ljúka og á þriggja manna dómnefnd að velja þrjár bestu tillögur úr hverjum bekk til lokakeppni Digranesskóla. Atkvæðagreiðslan um þessar tillögur fer fram 5. janúar, þ.e. fyrsta skóladaginn eftir jólaleyfi, og mega allir nemendur taka þátt í henni. Tillögurnar verða settar á netið 10. desember og geta því nemendurnir skoðað þær fyrir fram.

Kópavogspósturinn and Comenius-Tales

Says Marjatta, coordinator from Digranesskóli, Kópavogur, Iceland:

Our local paper Kópavogspósturinn visited us last week and they are going to have an article about the project and what is going on at the moment in their next issue (December). The Finns have already sent the partners a cd with Silent night in Finnish, in Finnish the song begins Jouluyö, juhlayö. Our music teacher, Thordís, is ready with the same in Icelandic and she is going to send it to all the partners via E-mail as an attachment (sound file). We have recorded many other songs, but perhaps they will wait for the next year. Class 6 GK has been collecting pictures and information about the Icelandic Juletide lads. They are always depicted on the milk boxes (cartons) before Christmas. It is very popular to study the pictures and talk about the lads while the milk carton stands on the table. Next week we hope to publish some of these pictures here on this website.

Logósamkeppni Digranesskóla er í fullum gangi. Sumir bekkirnir eru þegar búnir að hanna tillögur sínar en aðrir eiga eftir að klára. Kópavogspósturinn var hjá okkur nú í lok nóvembermánaðar og tók myndir. Þeir ætla að hafa smá umfjöllun um verkefnið okkar í desemberblaðinu. Þórdís tónmenntakennari er búin að taka upp sönginn á Heims um ból og aukalega nokkur önnur þekkt jólalög svo sem Það á að gefa börnum brauð. Heims um ból fer til samstarfskólanna sem hljóðskrá gegnum tölvuna og geta skólarnir svo brennt sönginn á diskinn. Við erum þegar búin að fá finnska sönginn á geisladiski. Í bígerð er að stofna til vináttubanda á milli einstakra bekkja og eru viðræður nú í gangi um þetta mál.

Project activities in the near future

Marjatta writes:
1. LOGO

I already mentioned that the next stage in the project is the logo competition. It was agreed that the logo should meet the following criteria: It should

be simple

be small so that it would be possible to use it in letters, etc.

• imply the idea og getting to know people in other European countries
  
• carry the meaning that tales can be told both in words, music and pictures
  

2. EVALUATION

In addition to this competition the partner schools will let their staff and students fill in the evaluations sheets in order to get the basic line. The final evaluation will be made at the end of the project and the basic line used as the parametre. Also annual evaluation, to be sure. this will be completed in November.

3. MUSIC:

Before Christmas each school will send the words and recording (sound files in digital form, disc or cia E-mail) of the well-known hymn "Stille Nacht, heilige Nacht" (in English Holy nigh silent night") in their own language to their partners. The students in each school will practise the four languages and present the hymn in connection of the Christmas celibration. Additionally the well-known children´s song "Head and shoulders". N. B. The Finns aldready presented head and shoulders for the representatives of the partners schools in connection of theTammisaari meeting.

(This is the site of the city of Tammisaari, the name of which in Swedish is Ekenäs. The majority of the city are Swedish speaking and therefore the first language is Swedish. The school has its own domain within the city site. You shall only have to find it!! Give a try.

At the Tammisaari meeting there were, in addition to the hosts, three representatives of Digranesskóli (Magnea the school principal, Ingibjörg 2. grade teacher and Marjatta the coordinator), from Hungary there were Zsuzsa the school principal, Andrea, Éva and the coordinator Tamás. From Italy there were Sabina, their coordinator and Viviana. Päivikki, the coordinator of the Finnish school had done a lot of preparation and also Matti Piirainen, their school principal and Anneli who teachers teh 4th grade.

Many ideas were discussed at this meeting and plans for the next two years made.

In the nearest future the partner schools will arrange a competition about a suitable logo for the project. Actually, Tammisaari has already arranged theirs and they had some very good suggestions.

Tales of Europe - Four country approach

The project "Tales of Europe" is a joint project of four schools in Italy, Iceland, Finnland and Hungary. We got a grant for this project from the European fund usually called "Comenius".

As the name (Tales) says, the aim of this project is to learn about tales in the partner countries and also to make the partners acquainted with our tales - not only the traditional tales, but also the tales that are told in music. The part of music is actually quite significant.

The schools that participate are Digranesskóli in Kópavogur town in Iceland and Hakarinteen koulu in Tammisaari, Finland, both of which are comprehensive schools with pupils of ages 6-16, then there is the Hungarian school from the city of Budapest, its name is Deák Diák Altalános Iskola, and the primary school and kindergarten from Cordenons city in North Italy, at the roots of the Alps.

The first project meeting with the representatives of al the participating schools was held in Tammisaari, Finland, on 1-5 November. From our school there were, in addition to me (who am the project coordinator - and Digranesskóli is the coordinating school) Magnea Einarsdóttir the school principal and Ingibjörg Jóhannesdóttir, class-teacher who has taken part in the preparation of the project and is a very able hand. She teaches our second grade, i.e. 7 years old pupils. More about this meeting and the project at a later stage.
